Tata Harrier EV 2025: Futuristic Electric SUV with 500+ Km Range, ADAS, and Bold Coupe Styling

Tata Harrier EV

The Tata Harrier EV 2025 takes the bold presence of the ICE Harrier and gives it an all-electric twist with futuristic enhancements that make it stand out as a premium electric SUV. The exterior features a full-width LED DRL bar up front, blanked-off gloss black grille, and an illuminated Tata logo at the center that signals its electric identity.

Sharp Design with LED Blade DRL, Aero Wheels and Futuristic EV Cues

The rear also boasts a light blade design, and the bumper has been redesigned with aero diffusers and sharper edges. Tata has included exclusive aero-optimized alloy wheels and low-drag side elements to improve efficiency. The body proportions remain muscular, and the stance is upright with strong shoulders and flared arches. Unlike traditional ICE SUVs, the Harrier EV looks leaner and sleeker, with coupe-inspired lines that enhance its visual appeal while maintaining road presence. Dual-tone options, black roof contrast, and exclusive EV colors like Arctic Blue and Lunar Silver make it a head-turner on Indian roads.

Tech-Rich Cabin with 12.3-inch Touchscreen, Premium Upholstery and Digital Interface

Inside, the Harrier EV brings a futuristic cabin experience with premium vegan leather upholstery, ambient lighting, and a seamless digital interface spread across the dashboard. It features a 12.3-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, and an advanced touch-based climate control panel with haptic feedback. Tata’s new UI is optimized for EV-specific data like range, regeneration, battery health, and charging status. Other features include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 360-degree surround-view camera, ventilated front seats, powered tailgate, dual-zone climate control, and a panoramic sunroof. The flat-bottom steering wheel with backlit Tata logo adds a premium EV feel. Thanks to its spacious platform and absence of a transmission tunnel, the rear seats offer excellent legroom and a flat floor, making it a comfortable five-seater electric SUV for long road trips and urban commutes alike.

Dual Motor Setup with AWD and Over 500 Km Claimed Range

The Tata Harrier EV will be the brand’s first electric SUV to offer an All-Wheel Drive (AWD) option using a dual-motor setup, powered by Tata’s Gen2 EV architecture. The setup is expected to deliver a power output close to 300 PS and instant torque distribution for confident handling in all terrains. The car is likely to come with a battery pack in the 60-70 kWh range, offering a claimed range of over 500 km on a single charge as per MIDC standards. It will support both AC and fast DC charging with 150 kW capability, enabling 0 to 80% charging in under 35 minutes using public chargers. Tata is also working on V2V (Vehicle-to-Vehicle) and V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) technology integration, allowing the Harrier EV to power external appliances and even charge other EVs in emergency situations. Regenerative braking with multiple levels, terrain modes, and an electronic parking brake with auto hold further improve the electric driving dynamics.

Level-2 ADAS and Safety Focus with 6 Airbags and High-Strength Body

Tata is equipping the Harrier EV with the ADAS Level-2 suite, which includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Auto Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and High Beam Assist. This builds upon the 5-star safety rating legacy of the Harrier platform and ensures top-tier occupant protection. In addition to 6 airbags, the car features ABS with EBD, ESP, Hill Descent Control, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and ISOFIX mounts. The underlying body structure is based on Tata’s OmegaArc platform, adapted for EVs with a strengthened floor and battery protection. With the addition of connected safety features and remote diagnostics through the ZConnect app, the Harrier EV emerges as a true modern electric SUV tailored for Indian road conditions and user needs.

Launch Timeline, Price Expectation and Rivals in the Indian EV Market

The Tata Harrier EV is expected to be launched in India by late 2025, with pricing starting around ₹27 lakh and extending up to ₹32 lakh (ex-showroom) for higher trims. Positioned above the Nexon EV and below the upcoming Tata EV flagship, the Harrier EV will rival the MG ZS EV Long Range, Mahindra XUV.e8, BYD Atto 3, and Hyundai Kona EV. With its dual-motor setup, long-range battery, cutting-edge design, and ADAS tech, the Harrier EV is set to redefine what buyers expect from an Indian electric SUV and could very well be Tata’s next big leap in its EV revolution.
