It features a 12.3-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, and an advanced touch-based climate control panel with haptic feedback. The Tata Harrier EV will be the brand’s first electric SUV to offer an All-Wheel Drive (AWD) option using a dual-motor setup, powered by Tata’s Gen2 EV architecture. The setup is expected to deliver a power output close to 300 PS and instant torque distribution for confident handling in all terrains. The car is likely to come with a battery pack in the 60-70 kWh range, offering a claimed range of over 500 km on a single charge as per MIDC standards. It will support both AC and fast DC charging with 150 kW capability, enabling 0 to 80% charging in under 35 minutes using public chargers. Tata is also working on V2V (Vehicle-to-Vehicle) and V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) technology integration, allowing the Harrier EV to power external appliances and even charge other EVs in emergency situations. Regenerative braking with multiple levels, terrain modes, and an electronic parking brake with auto hold further improve the electric driving dynamics.

Launch Timeline, Price Expectation and Rivals in the Indian EV Market
The Tata Harrier EV is expected to be launched in India by late 2025, with pricing starting around ₹27 lakh and extending up to ₹32 lakh (ex-showroom) for higher trims. Positioned above the Nexon EV and below the upcoming Tata EV flagship, the Harrier EV will rival the MG ZS EV Long Range, Mahindra XUV.e8, BYD Atto 3, and Hyundai Kona EV.
